DevLog 7: Micropub, Microsub, and Themes

This one took a bit too long, there are fewer features, but they were a bit tough to implement.

Micropub

Micropub is a specification for creating posts, reactions etc and editing or deleting them. There are some minor things I still need to address. Such as which category to use when publishing and how to handle the clients being used.

Currently, all new published posts are categorized under a new category named Micropub, I couldn’t find anything related to it in the specification. And confusingly, Micropub uses the term category to describe the tags. I need to add a good user-friendly way to handle category, subcategory, and tags in Micropub posts. I am still working on that.

Microsub

Microsub is a proposed standard to allow users to subscribe to another site. Honestly, I do not really see a reason for Microsub since we will support both RSS and Atom feeds soon. But it might be relevant in the future, so I added some groundwork.

Having Microsub makes Ownet more social in a way, though.

Themes

Yeah, now we have better themes, and it automatically switches between light and dark mode. I also want to add a toggle for it for people like me who sets strict fingerprint resisting in Librewolf browser but still like dark themes.
